This is the software publisher’s description.
DriverMax is a program, which enables you to easily reinstall all your Windows drivers. No more searching for rare drivers on discs or on the web, or inserting one installation CD after the other. Simply export all your current drivers (or just the ones that work) to a folder or a compressed file. After reinstalling Windows you will have everything in one place.
Most of the situations when Windows is running slower are caused by faulty driver installations. Windows stores all versions of older drivers just in case you want to go back; sometimes it messes up older versions with more recent ones. The Export Wizard will only export the drivers you select by copying the needed files to a folder or a compressed ZIP file.
After reinstalling Windows, all drivers will be back in place in less than five minutes – sparing you of searching, inserting disc after disk and losing precious time. The Import Drivers wizard allows you to install all the drivers that you exported earlier. The entire operation might take between five and 10 minutes.
Just one single computer restart will be required after all drivers are reinstalled.
DriverMax is able to display a complete report of all drivers (versions, release dates) installed on your system. This feature can also be very useful when you want to analyse the differences between the drivers installed on different machines.
The latest v5 is now Windows 7-compatible.
Do you agree?
Not fully reliable product
I used this program for some time in the past and it was OK in general but lately while trying to install latest drivers from their site I used to get windows vista notifications that windows can not verify manufacturer,s of those drivers, though it is written on Driver Max site that all their drivers digitally signed and from manufacture,s sites. If so, why vista rejects them from installing now and before all was well?.. I think their service became corrupted now.

dreadful
do not use this, i tried it with my XP Inspiron 1300, and i subsequently spent the rest of the morning fixing my computer.
on reboot, windows loaded up but my screen was blank (black) so i had to load up last known good config and then re-install all my drivers manually.
avoid like the plague.

DriverMax Suitability
Contrary to the 2 previous reviews, I have found this freeware to be quite useful. I was using Driver Agent which charges an annual fee but kept insisting I had out of date drivers even though I had downloaded the latest ones.
DriverMax let me download all the new drivers I required with the exception of one which critics said I should avoid and anyway it was of no use to me.

Driver Max
Thought it was a good idea when I read about it in C.A
Having read the adverse comments. don't think I'll risk it

Driver Max
Have been using this programme recently. All drivers except one (Sound) installed well and have been working fine.

Risky
Downloaded and ran this software and lost sound on my laptop. Took me ages to get it back. This one is not for the faint hearted.
