One problem with editing movies on your computer is that you often need a DVD burner to be able to store the finishedmovies in reasonable quality.
However, convert the finished files to DivX - a compressed, advanced format that most media players (and some new DVD players) can play - you can fit many hours worth of video footage onto a CD-ROM.
FlasK lets you do just that, and although it is still in beta phase it supports full MPEG1/MPEG2 video decoding, VCD/SVCD/DVD video transcoding and A52/MPEG audio decoding.
FlasK can be a little difficult to use if you're unfamiliar with video editing, but it's worthwhile if space is a problem for your PC.
