Use your Mac to track your projects, tasks and invoice clients

When you’re a self-employed business person, it’s difficult to say no to potential new work. Problem is, it’s also easy to get carried away and schedule your time poorly. As most of us take on more than one task (chasing new clients, proposing to clients, finalising a deal and producing the work) at any time, you need to able to figure where you are within the process of each task.

This situation is worsened when you need to factor in temporary help to finalise a task. Web development teams will often pitch for work they can’t necessarily complete on their own and then factor in other specialists to do the work (server work, programming and so on). On The Job is a Mac-based tool for chasing, tracking and finalising projects for your clients. You simply create a client and then assign a project. You can configure the start and end date, add job notes, then bill on completion. You can create your invoices from within the application, then track the progress of invoice payment and chase when invoices are still outstanding.

Again, this is a simple Mac-only task-tracking tool that’s designed for the self-employed individual.
