Another multi-functional piece of software for managing your music collection, Tag & Rename does exactly what it says on, er, the top of its window.
The layout has been designed with ease of use in mind but, given the amount of features on offer, there's still a steep learning curve to get to grips with the package.
The window is split, Excel-like, into three tabs, one for renaming files, one for multi-editing tags and one for getting tags from the filename. It's very icon-heavy, which is no bad thing, since you can quickly view which files have ID3v1 or ID3v2 tags, which are WMA or Ogg files and so on.
With colour-coding and loads of customisable features, Tag & Rename is certainly for the more advanced user, though it also allows for automated look-up using the AMG website.

very handy mp3 tag managment tool
I can recommend that piece of software, it is a goody for every digital music holder.
One tip for eg iTunes owners who want to get ID3 tags from v1 to v2 - recursively over the whole collection!
install and use that way:
* Navigate to collection tree
* FileList -> Search Subfolders (activate)
* Tools -> MP3 synchronisation ziard (F11)
* select copy direction and overwrite option
* CaseCorrection possible
...wait the program does the rest
