V3.co.uk Information Overload Summit starts today

  • Tweet this

We've finally cut the ribbon on V3.co.uk's inaugural Summit event on the topic of Information Overload. The three-day event, sponsored by IBM, will see industry experts from all fields of information management coming into our offices in both London and San Francisco between now and Thursday to take part in a series of interviews and live online events.

The V3 team will be producing news, analysis, blogs and video diaries summarising the key issues and topics discussed over the three days. All the articles and videos are available on our dedicated Summit web site, which is live now.

We've already had a lively panel debate on the topic of the data explosion and how to get a handle on the huge amounts of information being generated, and Richard Thomas, former Information Commissioner, has been in the studio this morning to discuss his views around applying the correct privacy controls to stored data. We'll be posting a video of that interview on the Summit web site later today.

We'll also be joined later on today by Alcatel-Lucent's Neal Tilley, and the head of EMC Consulting for the EMEA region to share their views on the data deluge and how it is impacting their particular area of technology, so keep checking back to the Summit site regularly over the next three days for the latest on the Information Overload.
