Sony have just annoucned two new, very distinctive portable DVD players for your delectation.
The ultra-compact D-VE7000S (right) looks to be a very stylish and compact player, coming complete with headphone and speaker cradle, along with an optional car kit for entertainment on the road, with dual outputs making sharing easy. This little beauty has a 7in widescreen LCD and can also be used as a home DVD or music player.
Meanwhile, the DVP-FX810 'Portable Cinema' (left) has a clamshell case, 8in widescreen LCD and a 180º pivoting screen. Extra-long battery life means this is great for long journeys, with a remote control so you can select what you or your kids watch.
I don't know about you, but we are always jealous when we see someone with one of these devices on a train or car journey, so we'll be looking out for these when they hit the shops.

Zune and iPod: Most people compare the Zune to the Touch, but after seeing how slim and surprisingly small and light it is, I consider it to be a rather unique hybrid that combines qualities of both the Touch and the Nano. It's very colorful and lovely OLED screen is slightly smaller than the touch screen, but the player itself feels quite a bit smaller and lighter. It weighs about 2/3 as much, and is noticeably smaller in width and height, while being just a hair thicker.

Posted by: The North Face Shoes 25 Jan 2011

If you're still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you'll know which is right for you.

Posted by: north face down jackets 24 Jan 2011

The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it'll do even better in those areas, but for now it's a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod's strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.

(There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)

Between me and my husband we've owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I've settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.

Posted by: jimmy choos 24 Jan 2011

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod's. It works well, but isn't as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that's not an issue, but if you're planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod's larger screen and better browser may be important.

Hands down, Apple's app store wins by a mile. It's a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I'm not sure I'd want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.

Sorry for the huge review, but I'm really loving the new Zune, and hope this, as well as the excellent reviews some other people have written, will help you decide if it's the right choice for you.

Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass' favor.

This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like 'Mixview' that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you're listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of "neighbors" will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune "Social" is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.

I'll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)

Sorry for the huge review, but I'm really loving the new Zune, and hope this, as well as the excellent reviews some other people have written, will help you decide if it's the right choice for you.

If you're still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you'll know which is right for you.

Posted by: the rosetta stone 21 Jan 2011

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod's. It works well, but isn't as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that's not an issue, but if you're planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod's larger screen and better browser may be important.

I've to say that I concur together with the sentiments about getting AOL as quantity a single. The comments posted along aspect it sum it up nicely, that it does nothing to strengthen the model, but only adds confusion.Out of the top rebrands inside the l ist, I'd set SyFy at the high. At first I hated the identify, simply because I thought they did it ??just because,??? when in truth that they had to change their name as a result of becoming unable to legally use Sci-fi.??? Now relatively than coming up that has a whole new name that nobody would know- and potentially shed a good deal from the already inbuilt SciFi??? brand- they stuck using the previous name using a little bit of word play. I can nevertheless call SyFy Sci-fi when it arrives up, and that helps make me pleased.

Count me as yet another human being surpr ised that you simply did notinclude pepsi to the ??worst??? l ist and even acknowledge their redesign.Other precise comments. The new Pfizer logo looks sloppy and careless to me. The blue clearspace close to the wordmark is uneven. I like the notion, but the execution is negative. The old a single is tighter.I do notunderstand what you like greater regarding the new Guitar Hero logo. The negative room amongst the letters helps make it virtually impossible to study for me.As for El Banco Deuno, I do notget it in any way. The line breaks seem fully jarring to me and remind me of a logo I did for my s ister is line of crafts when I was about 15 (it was the phrase pollywogs??? on two lines, having a hyphen?- ugh).Ultimately, I would like to see your l ist of Identities that are in desperate have to have of a redesign. My #1 pick could well be Verizon.

I am impressed, I have to say. Very seldom do I come across a blog that is both educational and entertaining, and let me tell you, you have hit the nail on the head. Your article is outstanding; the matter is something that not a lot of people are speaking intelligently about. I am really happy that I stumbled across this in my search for something relating to this.

Hot topic, folks are starting to worry more about getting ready for what they would do if their car stops working. Tune in to Lifetime Channels The Balancing Act in Dec., they are going to have a spokesman from a national car extended warranty brokerage on to explain what a vehicle service contract is and when they make the most sense.

...well okay so that's the perspective here

The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it'll do even better in those areas, but for now it's a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod's strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.

Posted by: rencontre 23 Nov 2010

Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass' favor.

Dev acted as the standout rapper on Far East Movement's Like a G6 and she now already makes her own singles! Her first track from her first album (that doesn't have a name yet) is also featuring the producers The Cataracs, who also appeared on Like a G6! This track, titled Bass Down Low, is like Dev's other works, including Fireball and Booty Bounce. I wish Dev the best of luck and success in her music career.

I feel Barak may be wasting his time refuting Ahmadinejad simply because quite a few American’s could be lumping Ahmadinejad in unison in the same categories with Barack obama—however if President obama could be trusted, and who knows in this case, I assume this is the one instance in which Barak doesn't necessarily fault Bush.
