What is it with boy bands? They sing, they split, and then the members go solo. If they haven’t been as successful as their band mates some may even decide to reform with their less successful members or go on to celebrity reality shows in a bid to boost their flagging careers.
Well that’s how it goes for those who aren’t ex ‘Blue’ singer Simon Webbe - he and his record label have decided to go one step further with his quest to solo domination and launch a virtual branded Simon Webbe PSP that comes with Simon Webbe content.
The PSP web player, which will be posted on social networking sites such as Myspace, as well as featured on both Simon‘s and YourPSP.com sites will give loyal fans the opportunity to access content such as a ‘make your own’ Simon Webbe design logo application, interview footage and an album sampler - featuring lyrics, photo gallery and a track by track audio library. The interactive format also allows fans to virtually navigate the site by clicking the PSP console game keys.
We can’t deny that this isn’t genius thinking on the record label’s part but come on guys give us a little bit more credit- read the blog below and you will soon see gadgets for girls should be more covered in boy band members to make us buy.

Do you agree?

There are certainly a lot of details like that to take into consideration. That is a great point to bring up. I offer the thoughts above as general inspiration but clearly there are questions like the one you bring up where the most important thing will be working in honest good faith. I don?t know if best practices have emerged around things like that, but I am sure that your job is clearly identified as a fair game.

The entire level of [logo] style just isn't to show off??? what you are able to do. It isn't about bells and wh istles. It's that type of pondering that has a good deal of latest designers applying gradients on every last layout component as if they'd something to accomplish with v isual communication. The lion drawing does notneed any more pol ishing. From in which I stand, It really is at a point exactly where it may ONLY be utilised or d iscarded. Should you believe it needs additional pol ishing ,that it will be too cartoony??? , or that you've got styl istic objections with all the solution, then maybe you??? re while in the wrong occupation. You??? re complaining about a little something pretty essential to modern-day graphic design. I have study from a few of the greats to the topic of design and I do imagine I have a manage to the topic. It's not your deal with, I understand that. What I do notunderstand is your design philosophy. It truly is popular which you suppose Nike and Shell are terrific manufacturers. Maybe you??? re an Global Model zealot who thinks a grid may be the solution to every last design issue. Maybe that is definitely what you meant by pol ished? Or maybe you??? re into a lot of pointless detail on a logo that may turn out to be no ise because it is shrunken down? I do notknow. My grammar is frequently fine, thank you for asking. It's my spelling that was off in several places and for that, I apologize, but, you realize, if my grammar was anywhere near as horrible as you claim then you??? d have had a difficult time comprehending what I wrote. There could be nothing so that you can react to. I do notknow about you, but it is challenging for me to have angry at gibber ish primarily when I've no thought what it means.

If you're still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you'll know which is right for you.

Zune and iPod: Most people compare the Zune to the Touch, but after seeing how slim and surprisingly small and light it is, I consider it to be a rather unique hybrid that combines qualities of both the Touch and the Nano. It's very colorful and lovely OLED screen is slightly smaller than the touch screen, but the player itself feels quite a bit smaller and lighter. It weighs about 2/3 as much, and is noticeably smaller in width and height, while being just a hair thicker.

This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like 'Mixview' that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you're listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of "neighbors" will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune "Social" is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.

Hands down, Apple's app store wins by a mile. It's a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I'm not sure I'd want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.

Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass' favor.

Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.

I'll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod's. It works well, but isn't as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that's not an issue, but if you're planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod's larger screen and better browser may be important.

The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it'll do even better in those areas, but for now it's a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod's strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.

If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass' favor.

Between me and my husband we've owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I've settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.

And alright, Aol. was radical even by my requirements but maybe it ai notall negative. There is some sort of special signature there. The critical debate about Wolff Olins credibility remains a mystery to me however. I've generally admired their work. Wonderful occupation Brand new! See you within the new year!

Sorry for that big evaluation, but I'm really loving the brand new Zune, and hope th is, as effectively since the exceptional evaluations some other individuals have written, will assistance you decide if it is the proper preference to suit your needs.

And the total Tropicana debacle was left off why? Talking of Tropicana, does the brand new Aol logo remind anybody in the rejected Troipcana logo? Personally, I am not a fan on the Aol rebrand. While the execution and implementation are excellent, the real wordmark is dull, uninspired, and just sort of blah. That getting mentioned, I concur with a lot of the other rankings. I'm even now in enjoy with all the metropolis of Melbourne is new identification.

It will be great to see Melbourne is identification so highly pra ised on an global stage (even though the perform was undertaken ??externally??? ). The shame of it is the fact that barely any from the advisable applications happen to be carried out. The fact is, the Metropolis of Melbourne have chosen to ignore much of what we saw from Landor shortly immediately after the identification was launched. Overall implementation has up to now been really poor and does notlook like finding better anytime soon.

Posted by: Luigi Fulk 24 Dec 2010

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod's. It works well, but isn't as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that's not an issue, but if you're planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod's larger screen and better browser may be important.

If you're still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you'll know which is right for you.

Posted by: Carroll B. Merriman 24 Dec 2010

Posted by: Gregory Despain 24 Dec 2010

I'll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)
