The USB Desktop Tanning Centre lets you tan whilst you type.

Now don’t get us wrong, we love the summer, and the fact that it has been trying to sneak its way into our lives this month is a welcome intrusion.

However, we are sure you’ll agree that the one bad thing about such an early arrival is that we are not prepared.

Usbtan_2No were not talking about clothes- they can easily be sorted with a quick click on ASOS at your desk - not that we do that or anything Mr Boss- we are just talking about a friend of a friend…. Ahem.

Anyway, before we dig our hole deeper than we have, and security comes to escort us from the building let us get to the point.

So no, we’re not talking about clothes but about the tan, because there is nothing worse than wearing that new ASOS top with white pasty arms and faces.

Of course, there is always the sun tower but if like us, you loath the 7 minutes of standing and rotating like a cooking chicken then the USB Desktop Tanning Centre, created by ThinkGeek, is a perfect alternative.

Now again we are not encouraging you to do naughty things whilst you are working (reading Tech Boutique is ok because it’s educational) but we couldn’t resist telling you about it.

The USB Desktop Tanning Centre has two base units that attach to either side of your monitor each with 4 WOLFFE Ultra-violet 100 watt bulbs (that’s a lot of tanning quality). It also has a variable rate knob for those who are fair or dark.

If this wasn’t enough it also comes with those goggle thingies they make you wear.

Sound too perfect? Well we have just realised it is.

Being gullable we tried to buy it – for home use of course – only to be told it was a trick.

Oh dear, it’s nearly as bad as finding out that Santa isn’t real.
