Quickly view connected USB devices using USBDeview

  • Tweet this

Screengrab_2 If you have a USB extender, as you have more than three or four USB devices, you might find that you quickly lose control over the devices connected to your computer. Often there's no quick and easy (or obvious) way of knowing which device is connected to which USB port and, if you need to safely remove the device, knowing which device is the one you want to remove.

USBDeview 1.05 is a simple and free tool that enables you to quickly see the devices connected to your computer via USB. It makes the devices clear and simple to understand, so they are named in a manner you'll recognise. You can be more assured that the device you want to remove is the correct device, rather than using the Windows 'Safely Remove Hardware' tool.
