After the release of Windows Vista, many software suppliers rushed out Vista-compatible software, without spending the required time understanding the new kernel-based security, built in to the new operating system. System Mechanic 7 was a good example. Superb, well-designed and popular software that performed erratically on the new OS. However, Iolo spent time updating, worked hard on a major fix and quickly released System Mechanic 7.5, which has been installed on this Vista-based PC for the last few months, without any issues.26 Jun 2008
