Keeping your PC completely clutter free is almost an impossibility, but it's important to maintain a certain level of organisation. Not only are drives bigger than they ever have been, both internal and external, but file transfer via portable drives are all contributing factors regarding drive disorganisation. A cluttered drive could cause system problems including a slow start-up, but your hard drive does not have to be loaded with folders and files either, if the files are spread over large areas of your drive, which can cause problems too. 09 Oct 2008
