It's too easy to think that you need to buy a new PC. You don't. A computer from two years ago will only be slightly slower than a brand new machine. Even all-in-one machines enable you to upgrade the memory and the hard drive. If you have a small hard drive, you could go out and buy a bigger drive, connect as a slave and migrate the data from the old drive to the new one. You could even migrate a partition, rather than the entire drive, if you only wanted to upgrade an existing drive you use for file storage.24 Oct 2008
