Convert your bookmarks between browsers using Transmute

junky-transmute.gifAs most modern browsers are truly cross-platform, there's no reason why you can't use the latest Mozilla Firefox 3 across your work desktop PC, Mac-based laptop and the old Mac you have in your holiday home. Problem is that we always want our favourite bookmarks on our browser, wherever we are located. Although you may be able to remember most websites, if you admin a website or blog, it's too tricky trying to remember the bizarre admin URL.

The solution is to synchronise the bookmarks across each computer. Mozilla Weave and Foxmarks will enable you to do this if you use Firefox, irrespective of operating system. It's a seamless process, so you don't need to worry about adding a new bookmark and it not being available on your Mac when you get home. Snag is though, if you use a different browser across your computers, then you'll need to convert before you can use.

Transmute 1.04
is a simple tool that will convert your bookmarks across different browsers. It supports Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, Opera and Internet Explorer.
