Like many other Mac users, we were slightly disappointed with the recent Apple Keynote presentation. We were expecting new Mac hardware, such as an upgraded Mac Mini which we use a central audio distribution system. However, Apple did announce upgrades to their key suites: iLife and iWork.
iWork 09 is the latest suite and is available right now for £69. We've pointed this out as there is no upgrade path from the previous version. Everyone has to pay £69, even if you own iWork 08. Still, it's a reasonable price for an office suite.
iWork 09, like its predessors, contains three modules, Page (word processor), Numbers (spreadsheet) and Keynote (presentation). Each module contains a number of new features, with the biggest new feature being the new iwork.com site which you can use to store and share your documents. Allow other users to comment and download your files.
