Buying a new computer is a hugely satisfying experience and after the initial set-up, all tasks, in comparison to your old machine, seem to be performed with ease. Although the hardware installed on your new machine is undoubtedly superior to your previous computer, another reason for enhanced performance is that your machine has had no time to accumulate clutter from unused files and folders. As this unwanted data accumulates, even the fastest machine will eventually slow down, and left unchecked, could lead to a fragmented hard drive. 14 Jan 2009
