junky-littlesnapper.gifSome users may struggle to imagine a time before we used search engines to locate a particular website. There was a period where users would buy a magazine full of recommend web URLs and spend time finding new sites by following the 'links' from these sites. The problem with search engines is that the premier results are dominated by either the most popular commercial sites or by larger companies who know how to get the most from a search engine. Some smaller sites tend to go unnoticed, yet these are the most interesting across the Internet.

LittleSnapper 1.0
is a Mac-based tool that enables you to take visual grab of a website or web page and store it as an image. You can create categories so you store sites within a particular section, add tags and references so you can quickly find stored images and share your sites with other users, online. This is also an excellent way of sharing information with other users. For example, if you're a web designer and you're constantly sourcing ideas, you could use LittleSnapper to grab various sections from a website and then share that information with your fellow designers.
