No-one has produced media software that's as effective as Apple's iLife, which was updated this January. PC media suites just attempt to offer so much 'functionality', that you end up with a number of applications that attempt to do similar tasks. In many instances, you'll simply want to create an audio or data disc with the minimum of fuss. If you need to burn some work files to disc, before you run across to another office, you won't requite a media suite to get your files on to the blank disc.
