We have a problem with the full commercial applications we offer through our magazines and on vnunet.com. The problem is that many ISPs implement server-side anti-spam filters to protect your inbox from the huge amounts of spam you'd normally expect to receive. Snag is that this server-side filter system also stops some of the more legitimate email, especially from various .com software developers. The server thinks it's a spam message and the end user never even sees it in their mailbox and often doesn't even realise that their ISP is filtering their email on the server. Quite frankly, they don't understand nor want to understand. Result is that we get it in the neck when they don't receive their free code.31 Jan 2009
