Evernote keeps getting better, with a huge release in development

junky-evernote.gifEvernote is one of our favourite applications. We use the tool to share information between the users responsible for uploading content for our downloads. For example, we can use the tool to share the downloads that need to be updated, new downloads that need to go online, others that need a review and interesting blog entries (that should be written, but often never end up online). As Evernote is both Windows and Mac compatible, the same data can be shared between desktop PC and laptop-based Mac and can be updated on any machine, as long as that has an Internet connection.

Evernote for Windows 3.1.0.1107 is now available and this brings a range of new features including better tag support, less memory required to operate and much more. The Mac version has also had a major upgrade, including Safari support so you can clip pages directly to Evernote. A major update to the Windows version is in development and should be released in the near future.

<p>You neglected to mention that both the newest Mac and Windows releases are now adware.</p> <p>vnunet.com comment: consider buying it then, like we did? Excellent applications should be supported. Would you want to code for free?</p>

<p>From time to time people I have worked with have asked me to sign up to a huge array of net-based services in order to share a document in progress. I have always refused. It is too simple for them to simply attach it to an email, usually the medium they use to ask me to sign up to the service. </p> <p>If I had taken them up, I would now be a registered user of a dozen or so services with a dozen or so passwords to manage, and a dozen or so opportunities to have my identity information stolen. </p> <p>Moreover, it is far more work than I am willing to do simply to share a document, or some progress notes, or a work schedule. </p> <p>Everyone is like you, and has their absolute favorite, and couldn't get along without it. But somehow you did, and for many years. It may even make you more productive, but it will not make me more productive, only more burdened.</p>
