Is it time to move across to the latest Internet Explorer v8?

junky_ie8.gifAlthough we featured it within our weekly Downloads newsletter, recently, we've held of discussing the merits of the latest Microsoft Internet Explorer v8 within this blog. It's now available and was released earlier than we expected. Many tech sites have demonstrated how the latest IE8 fails the browser acid test, although every site we tested rendered correctly within the browser. They appeared swiftly too, indicating that the browser is far quicker at rendering web pages than the previous release. There are a number of new features. Web Accelerators enable you to quickly perform an action from text or other page content. For example, select some text you want translating. There's also a private browsing mode, so you can browse the net without leaving a trace on your computer.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 for Windows XP and Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 for Vista are both now available for download and are official releases.
