Keep your drivers updated using Uniblue DriverScanner

junky-driverscanner.gifFew users realise that when they install Windows, the drivers that ship with the operating system are designed to work as effectively as possible. They are not necessarily optimised or maximised to get the most from your hardware. For this reason, it's a wise idea to go to the manufacturers website and make sure you have the latest drivers for your hardware. However, for some users this isn't so straightforward. You need to establish the components installed in your new PC before you can find the right drivers.

Uniblue DriverScanner 2009 v2.0.0.4
is a commercial driver update tool that will examine your system, check against a database of drivers and then let you know when a new driver is available. You can then choose to download and install. This is all automated, so the application will do the work for you. The only problem is that sometimes the process doesn't work so smoothly, especially with drivers that are in use (as they can't be overwritten as they are in system memory).
