All computers will store a certain amount of personal information; even if it's a work machine there will still be login details and other passwords that may be stored. The reality is that most of the files and folders on your machine won't contain private or sensitive information, but a certain proportion will and you may want to keep them secure, especially if you're using a home computer that you share with other users.
