avantgrab.gifMost people who have used a PC to surf the web would have encountered Microsoft's Internet Explorer; after all, it has shipped with the Windows operating system since 1995. Unfortunately, after years of popularity the browser fell out of favour with many as it increased in size and became more and more cumbersome. Even after such a decline in popularity, Microsoft's Internet Explorer is still the first choice browser for many. Sometimes though, wouldn't a lighter weight version be a better option?

Avant Browser 11.7
is a browser based on the IE engine that has a similar look and feel but benefits from added features and options whilst remaining more lightweight than the standard Internet Explorer. One handy feature is the ability to deactivate certain elements of particular web pages including Flash animation and pop-ups.
