Ditch your regular office suite and try the cross-platform Lotus Symphony

  • Tweet this
junky-symphony.gifWhilst some of the heavyweight commercial developers release their office suites every few years (and we wait around in the meantime, keen to upgrade), the free office suite developers are getting new features in to their products every few months. OpenOffice 3 was a huge upgrade, particularly for Mac OS X users, which was the first native version on this operating system. Lotus Symphony is equally as substantial and this is a truly free Microsoft Office compatible office suite you can use across your Windows, Mac or Linux-based computers. Try doing that with your commercial office suite.

Lotus Symphony 1.3
is now available and this version brings a number of new features. The key main feature is improved support for Microsoft Office 2007, the ability to create live hyperlinks within your documents, clipart support, the facility to create and print envelopes and much more.
