Image editing seems to be one of only areas of computing left where there is a real lack of decent freeware tools available, often leaving users with no option but to invest in expensive packages such as Photoshop. These professional applications ship with enhanced features that remain unused by many users, but the alternative is to settle for virtually useless freeware alternatives.
